Well Helloooo there…

I know I’ve been M.I.A yet again! This has definitely been the craziest month of my life! I wrote a semester test every single week, had assignments in between, lost 2 of my good friends :-(, had my best friends bridal shower to plan and the wedding to attend.

The month is finally over, I finally have a minute to breathe and I thought I’d come say hi and do a quick look post! I have lots to share, so many pics to edit and stories to tell! 

In the mean time here’s what I wore on Saturday evening for a date with the Mister.

I got this shirt at Mr Price on Friday! I love the stud detailing.  The jeans were stolen from mums closet, they were bootleg jeans but I had them altered and they are now my favourite pair! You’ll definitely see them in future look posts.

That’s all from me for now! I promise not to neglect my blog too much.  Check back in later this week for some more posts from the bridal shower and the three day wedding festivities.

Oh yes its the 2 oceans race this weekend! So nervous as I haven’t been training as much as I should be and I was out for a month because I injured my foot.  Anyhooo… still looking forward to it, its more about the experience and getting to spend the long weekend in the Mother City. WOOP WOOP!

These are the third pair of printed jeans I bought along with the other two.  I got this pair at Sportscene on sale too!

Teamed it with the same shade of blue - my babe bought me this sleeveless shirt at Vertigo a few weeks ago after I nagged because I was so broke lol (Thanks bubz) - and my favourite colour:  brown to accessorize.  As you all may have noticed I make everything match brown, its a bit of an obsession I’ll admit.

GANIEF’S BIRTHDAY SUPPER

It was my Love’s birthday yesterday and this is what we wore to dinner with friends on Saturday evening.

My fabulous shoes were a surprise gift from my sister in law, thanks Sis!! I bought this statement necklace from Mr Price Online a few months ago thinking it was white and silver but it actually turned out to be gold and green.  I had nothing to really wear it with and it just so happened that it matched my wedges perfectly.

The PALULULOVE POP UP is a fashion pop up retail event which aims to expose the fashion conscious & fashion curious consumers in Johannesburg to fresh fashion entrepeneurs, brands, designers, and buyers. It is an upmarket designer market selling on trend fashion, street couture, vintage and high fashion to women of all ages and style personalities at reasonable prices. The Palululove Pop Up set up is a relaxed fashion outdoor lounge atmosphere and has been POPPING UP since 2012 at outdoor venues such as Sandton Sandeck Rooftop and recently at Shepstone Gardens in Mountain View Johannesburg.  Each featuring designer sets up their individual stall space in the outdoor venue…As guests arrive dressed to the particular theme of the day, they are welcomed with cocktails, photographed in a style box photo booth and can then relax, network, engage with designers, watch the live fashion show and SHOP as their Dj plays music throughout the day.

VINTAGE POLKA DOTS

Picked this polka dot blouse up from Snoorpatjana at the the Grove flea market a few months ago.  I absolutely love the detail at the bottom!

PERFECT LITTLE PEPLUM

A simple LBD is what I chose to wear to a friends wedding on Saturday evening.  I got this peplum at Zara and after trying it on I bought it immediately.  I was planning to buy a long evening dress but I decided to keep it simple and just be me.  I’ve never really been one for long flowy gowns and I didn’t have much time to find the perfect one either.

After searching countless shoe stores for the perfect shoe I walked into Call it Spring and found the last pair of these wedges on SALE!! As most of you have figured by now I LOVE wedges, prefer them to heels and these were the perfect pair to add a bit of glitz to my rather simple dress.

I pinned a collar necklace onto the dress to add a lil something extra for the occasion.

Long Street Loving

We had one shopping day in Cape Town beacuse the weather was pretty BLEH so we spent the afternoon in Long street and Ganief shopped up a storm at A-List and another store (I can’t remember the name).  I was forced to hold his bags so he could snap some pics!

The weather did eventually clear up so I changed into a pair of denim shorts and we made a stop at the beach and then walked along the Sea Point Promenade.

Beach Bum

Most of my holiday was spent on the beach as you’ll see from the upcoming lookposts.  I don’t think a day went buy that we didn’t go to the beach.
